Well it has all come down to this! After 5 months on the road and jumping from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to Maryland the Mid Atlantic . 90 Association comes back to where it all began in early May and Atco Dragway for the Fall Finale and Championship Weekend. All three series are yet to be decided on as far as the 2014 Champions and by my calculations we may not find out till late Sunday Evening.
Looking back at the 2013 version of the Fall Finale MASCA came right down to the wire as Earl Nichols Jr. & Jimmy Stack had pretty much sealed the deal by Saturday’s Race #9 in Super Gas & Street. Tom Boyle made a run for the record book on Sunday by winning the Championship over Dave Long with a victory at Race #10 in Super Comp. Other winners that weekend had Rookie Mike Cress taking his first MASCA win in Race #9. He was joined that evening by Bob Phillips (MASGA) and Daryl Peters (MASSA). On Sunday joining Boyle in the winner’s circle were Iggie Boicesco (MASGA) & Keith Mayers (MASSA).
Gates will open at 5pm on Friday for those wanting to get set-up early and then re-opening at 9am on both Saturday & Sunday and time runs will begin at 10am with Super Street. We will be running with the East Coast Stk/SS Series along with Top Dragster & Top Sportsman on Saturday and the index cars on Sunday for an action packed day of events. This will be a great warm-up for any racer who is going to the Keystone Nationals the following weekend because you don’t need to be a member to come play with us and Super Street is not at the Keystones so treat this as your National Event!
