The Mid Atlantic .90 Association is getting ready to get back into action after several weeks of delays and schedule changes due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The series will roar back to life at Cecil County Dragway in Rising Sun, Maryland on June 27th & 28th for the 12th Annual Sportsman Circuit Shootout which will be Race # 1 & 2 of the 10-race season. The series features all the .90 classes of the NHRA Mellow Yellow National and Lucas Oil Divisional tour.

In 2019, Tom Slater in Super Comp took home his first MASCA Championship with a nail-biting 7 point victory over Steve Everett Sr, In Super Gas Iggie Boicesco claimed his unprecedented 7th Championship in the series after two victories for his ATI Transmissions 2017 Corvette and in Super Street Keith Mayers rebounded after a few years away from the championship podium and took home the overall championship after a hard fought battle with Rick Mattioli and the late Martie Ganjoin.

This year the series has partnered with Roadrunner Racing Fuels & Brothers Rigging Inc. to offer big payouts to members who support the series. With becoming a member at just 20 cars the series offers a $1,000 payout for $110 dollar entry along with other cool bonus for racers. One thing that became popular with the racers in 2019 was the Calcutta, in which racers have the chance to throw an additional $10 in the pot to gamble on themselves to be the last man / women standing in competition for the day. More perks is the contingency program put together for the racers with bonuses from JEGS Mail Order, VP Racing Fuels, Auto Meter Products, JKR Racing / Lucas Oil, K&N Filters, Comp Cams and The Contingency Connection Racers Rewards program to offer racers gift certificates towards products for a win or runner-up at each event. Comp Cams is also awarding a prize pack to the driver with the “Best Losing Package” in round 1 of each class at each event. New for this year the series has also partnered with POR15, SRS Fitness, JA Pest Control, Marc Marsico Law & Keith Mayers Motorsports to offer the “Bounty Award” that will see racers gunning to take down the 2019 Champs and winners of the previous events for a cash bonus paid on the spot.

On Friday, June 26th the series will host a private test & tune from 10am to 4pm.  Those drivers interested may contact president Rob Keister at 856-332-2851 or email him at Rekeister@aol.com.
