Tradition continues this weekend at Cecil County! The Uncle Buck Pig Roast!!!

The Mid Atlantic .90 Association invades Cecil County Dragway on August 9th & 10th for 2 days of .90 racing! This will be event number #7 & 8 of the 2014 season and the championship battles in all 3 classes are coming down to the wire but, just because your not a member don’t let that deter you from coming to play, we welcome everyone to our events!

Currently Joe Cambria, Matt Schurman & Kelli Barbato are leading the points in their three respected categories but, look for some stiff competition all weekend long that could yield some new points leaders by weekends end. Cambria has been in a see-saw battle all year long with Dave Long & Don Bangs but, the Top 5 drivers are only separated by 69 points. Schurman has been the dominate force in MASGA all year long with wins at Maple Grove & Cecil County 1 along with 1 runner-up to his credit. Schurman, has a sizable lead over second place George Donhauser & Frank Volpe but, as they say anything can happen. In MASSA Kelli Barbato has been leading all season long after her Race # 1 win at Atco but, the heard is starting to narrow the gap with the Top 5 drivers only being separated by 34 points.

So here is all the info you need to know for the event:
Parking on August 8th @ 5pm (Weather Permitting) if weather becomes a factor gates will not be open and you will need to park at the gate or maybe park up at the Wal-Mart or Days Inn before the track and wait till morning.

When you do come in Friday Night or Saturday morning you will be charged for both days of racing and crew. Gate fee will be $35.00 (x2) at the gate and $70.00 at my trailer per day. If you happen to break or plan on only being there Saturday they will refund you the money so keep all tickets. Please come in gate #1 (gate #2 will be closed on Fri & Sat) and then cross over the staging lanes, down the return road and to the field. We will be parking over on the tower side of the track (Right side) (Where most of us park for the LODRS Event). Please watch for any reserved spots.

On Saturday & Sunday morning gates will open at 8am. Due to the fact that we are also running the Top 8 Shootout that Saturday afternoon there will be NO OPEN TEST & TUNE runs in the morning. We will start racing at 10am with our 1st qualifying run (S/ST, S/C, S/G) we will do two shots then as we always do, we are placed in a ladder for 1st round. The plan is too start the Top 8 race around 3 – 4pm so for those of you who are not involved in the event hit the stands and root on these drivers who have earned a spot in this inaugural event.

On Saturday as everyone knows it is a storied tradition for over 20 years now the “Uncle Buck Pig Roast BBQ” will start at around 6-6:30pm. If anyone would like to bring something to the BBQ please feel free (Salads, Pasta Salads, Desserts, Finger Food). Once again thanks to the Donhausers and Harple families for putting this on for the group and if you happen to see Linda, George or Moose say Thanks for all their hard work to feed us.
