The Mid Atlantic .90 Association is set to kick of its long awaited 2022 season at the home of “Kid Chaos” and Maple Grove Raceway. The series enters it’s first 2 events of the season with new faces and new sponsors on board. In the off season, President Rob Keister put together a great sponsorship program with title right sponsors Road Runner Race Fuels, POR 15 & Christine Romeo Real Estate that will reward members by making the final round. An added $200 bonus to win and $100 to runner-up is on the line for members if they make the finals and sign up before round 1 for year end points. Some other programs include the $75 member bounty program by taking out the previous series champ or race winner that is put up by LPW, POR 15, JA Pest Control, B&B Auto Repair, Marc Marsico Law & Pleasant Valley Farms, JA Pest Control qualifying yearend bonus, last but, not least is the Hoopes Fire “Right on the Dial” award that will reward a member $100 per class or $300 total per race for a single racer if you go dead on with a 0 in eliminations and have the stickers.

On Friday, June 24th, gates swing open at 4pm with a track operated Test & Tune starting at 5pm for $60 for slick tire cars and $30 for Junior Dragsters. Gates will close at 10pm that night and racers will have to stack till Saturday Morning. Gates open at 7am for Race # 1 and kick off the festivities with Junior Dragsters at 8:30 for Qualifier 1. Thanks to former Junior Dragster Racer and current Jet Dragster Pilot for Hanna Motorsports, Josh Graham is putting up a bonus of $250 per race to be spread over the winner and runner-up of the race per day. At 32 cars for Juniors the winner will take home $675 to win & $275 runner-up. The .90 cars will follow the Juniors along with the Watson McDaniel Top Challenge series. The Top Challenge Series recently became a part of the Mid Atlantic .90 Series, and the ET Break for Top Sportsman was raised to 8.49 to adhere to what other tracks were doing around the east coast to allow more racers to come out and play. As 1st round comes to an end for those 6 classes a special Super Pro & Pro event will take center stage with a qualifier and work their way into the regular rotation for some big cash at the end of the day as they will run at the 1/8-mile distance. The .90 & Top Challenge series will run at the conventional ¼ mile distance.

Sunday is Race # 2 of the weekend and will basically repeat Saturday’s plan but, Super Pro & Pro will follow in the regular rotation for 1 qualifier and right into 1st round till we crown a champion at the end of the day. All racers will receive trophies designed by S&W Performance Group & Powder Coat Finishes along with the big Happy Gilmore Checks done up by Nitro Graphics.

Once the winners are crowned from Race #1 & 2 the series packs up and heads to Cecil County Dragway for Race # 3 & 4 on July 16th & 17th for the .90 cars and the Top Challenge Series will pick back up at the annual Super Chevy event at Maple Grove on July 23rd & 24th for one event.
